Wonderful world of Wikis

What I am finding with a lot of the Web 2.0 applications that there are quite a few that aren't being visited or commented upon. I think the trick to this is to create and engaging and rellevant, blog, Wiki or RSS feed something that is of interest and benefit to our customers.

One idea I had for a Wiki is to have our users comment on our resources. This may be especially useful for online resources, particularly what the customers find useful and what they don't.

RSS

The thing I like best about RSS feeds is the convenience of having the information come to me rahter than me having to go out and search for it each time.

On a personal leval I have used RSS feeds to keep up with real estate for sale, Jessica Watson's round the world trip and job vacancies.

Up to now I haven't used RSS feed on a professional level, but as I now work part time I can see its usefulness. I will set up RSS feeds to keep informed about what is happening in the HSC, current events and book reviews.

Libraries can use RSS feed to push Library activities, new acquisitions etc out to their customers.

Julie and Julia

The only thing I know about blogs is what I see in the popular media, movies made from blogs like Julie and Julia.

I don't read blogs and I don't write blogs so this should be interesting.
